REPLYBOARD PRIVACY POLICY
This policy applies to the service offered by Replyboard, LLC. (“Replyboard”, “We”, or “Our”). If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to contact us.
Log files. Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a site. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
Cookies. We use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. "Cookies" refer to small pieces of information that a site sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing the site.
Information you provide. When you sign up for a Replyboard account, we ask you for personal information (such as your email address and an account password), which we use to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the Replyboard service. Once you have created an account, you have the option to provide additional personal information (such as a profile picture and website links), which serve to facilitate a more transparent interaction with other users.
Email addresses are used to send notifications related to the service. A user's email address is never shared or displayed to other users. Users communicate with each other through their Replyboard username. Replyboard allows users to search for others by username only. If another user does not know your username, there is no other method for them to determine if you are a user of Replyboard.
User communications. When you send an email to Replyboard, we may retain that communication in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our service. When you send messages to other users, Replyboard brokers that communication so that each user doesn't know the others direct contact information. Replyboard stores all messages sent through the Replyboard service.
INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Replyboard will not disclose personal information to any third party unless we believe that disclosure is necessary: (1) to conform to legal requirements or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal process received by Replyboard, whether or not a response is required by applicable law; (2) to enforce the Replyboard Terms of Use Agreement or to protect our rights; or (3) to protect the safety of members of the public and users of the service. Replyboard reserves the right to transfer personal information to a successor in interest that acquires rights to that information as a result of the sale of Replyboard or substantially all of its assets to that successor in interest. For more information see the "Changes in Our Privacy Policy" section below. We do not share, rent or sell email addresses of users.
INFORMATION SECURITY
Member created passwords secure Replyboard member accounts. Replyboard takes precautions to insure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of member account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of member information at any time.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
From time to time we may make changes to our privacy policy. If we make changes, we will post them on our site and/or send a notice via the email associated with users accounts to make users aware of what the changes are so users will always be aware of what information we collect and how we use it. By continuing to use the service, users of the service agree to be bound by the revised privacy policy.
